Since im so special, i wanted to make all my cookies interracial. :) this is before i added the cocoa powder of course

And this is after the cocoa. And now its time to get started.

This was after i baked them. It wasnt finished yet though. It was really easy to make them like this all you had to do was take a little from both the regular, and chocolate dough and press together than proceed to roll into a ball.

And this was the end product, They were very good. I decided to try this cookies with different kisses, and I made these (the better ones) with Hug's and I made some with Kisses that were Cookies and cream.

No more buying,time for making!

Hey guys! I know its been sometime but its been a little busy on both Nommie and My side. But let me bring you guys up to speed. My birthday was July 30th. I am now 20! I feel so old :) but its cool. Anyway i decided to bake a cheesecake since I was going to celebrate a few peoples birthday's. So check it! Lets begin. I started out crushing the cookies,but that didnt work too well for me as you can see from the picture.The pieces are still too big for a crust. so I put them in a blender :) came out fine.

Well This picture is the crust done baking and out cooling. The recipe I had scribbled down was totally wrong with the amount of butter I needed to combine the cookie crumbs. I went along adding and seeing what I needed to change.

I totally forgot to mention i was making a marble cheesecake! So thats why there two bowls with the same stuff in it. (sorry i didn't take pictures as i was going in between steps. I wanted to make sure no air was getting in the batter for sitting too long)

This was the chocolate part of the cheesecake :)oops my phones there haha.

Well this is what it looks like after i put all the design and what not before the oven.

Needs a water bath! yup thats what this is here.

Well this is the finished product. After it being refrigerated over night. It was very yummy. One girl that ate it even said it was as good as bakery bough cheesecake. So if you want to save money on cheesecakes,this one is very good . You will not go wrong making this one.:D

~Recipe~
Marble cheesecake

Ingredients
*3 pkgs Cream cheese,softened at room temp.
*1 cup of sugar (divided in 4ths)
*1/2 cup sour cream
*2 tbs vanilla
*3 tbs flour
*3 eggs
*3/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
*splash of milk

****Crust****
*I tube of Cats cookies (got from trader Joes but you can use oreos if you want)
*12 Tbs unsalted butter,melted
1/4 cup conf. sugar.

Directions-
1) Blend about 2 cups of cookies 1st and add to if not enough depending on what size formspring pan you have. Spray sides with pam or some sort of butter non stick cooking spray. Bake at 350 for 10 mins. Than take out of oven and set aside to cool.

2)Beat cream cheese till smooth. Add 1/4 cup of sugar at a time mixing for 30 seconds before adding the next amount of sugar. Than add sour cream and vanilla . Mix. Stir in flour. Than add eggs in one at a time, again mixing for 30 seconds before adding the next 1.

3)reserve about 2 cups of batter and set aside. In a small sauce pan melt the chocolate and add a splash of milk to get it sort of runny. Add 1/2 tsp of vanilla too. Take off fire and let cool for 5 minutes. Add too the reserved batter and add 1/2 tsp of cocoa powder.

4)Now take the pan with the crust and pour the batter alternating from vanilla to chocolate batter. Than to make design take a tooth pick and be creative. Place pan in a bigger pan to make a water bath. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes. Than turn oven off and leave cheesecake in for 30 minutes. Take out and let cool till room temp and refrigerate over night. When you take the cake out it will still look undone but it will firm up in the refrigerator.

*******NOTE********
Don' take off the outter ring from the springform pan until you are ready to serve. so that means when you put it in your refrigerator leave it on.
Hope you enjoy if you decide to make this. =]

UM Hello :)

Hey Guys Yum Yum's here. I know I know been awhile! SORRY!!! Haven't been in the mood to make things that "popped" out at me but lend me your.....eyes? yes eyes and read as I kid you not I have an entry!! Okay enough with the big intro's Well its summer so BBQs in the house happening like everyday. Okay maybe every weekend. Yea so Nommie was over this weekend and we both cooked up a special Yummy just for your viewing pleasure (and our eating pleasure ha ha)
Here is the beginning of a well... chocolate explosion. Peanut better polka dot bars!!!
Well just gotta follow along to see whats it turns out to be :)

We took turns doing things as we went along in my kitchen. I did the dry stuff and she did the peanut butter goodness up above:) looks good already don't it?

Ehhh this is the part where it got a little ....dry. The dry and the wet weren't really coming together as mentioned in the recipe. so we added some extra butter and some milk and it still was a little on the dry side but as you can see from this pic it worked out pretty well.

Oh and you see here? the little candies look like M&M's don't they? well thats becase they were! Which for some reason my mom thought it be cool to not listen to me when i was telling her what i needed her to pick up from the store. I asked for Reese Peaces mini's but she ended up getting peanut better M&M's which worked fine too!

Working in motion :)

And finally finished! it over all was pretty good just you would need some milk or water to drink after or while because it was still pretty dry :(

We got this recipe from the Hershey's 2008 edition Holiday Favorites.

Recipe:
* 3/4 cup of butter ,softened ( like i mentioned before i used more so use a whole stick)
* 3/4 cup of creamy Peanut butter
* 2 cups of light brown sugar,packed
* 2 eggs
* 1 tsp vanilla
* 2 1/2 cups of quick-cooking rolled oats (instant oatmeal )
* 2 1/2 cups of flour
* 1 tsp baking soda
* 1/2 tsp salt
* 1 1/3 cup of Reese pieces mini's ( or PB M&M's)
~~~~~~
Chocolate filling:
Melt 1 stick of butter in a saucepan on low heat. Stir in 2/3 cup of cocoa powder and 1/3 cups of sugar. Add 1 can of sweetened condensed milk,cook stirring constantly,until smooth and thick. remove from heat add 1 1/2 tsp vanilla.
Directions:
1) Heat oven to 350,beat butter ,PB and brown sugar until blended well. add eggs and vanilla and mix.
2)stir dry ingredients in a separate bowl. after mixing well add to butter mixture. after combined remove 2 cups of dough.
3) Prepare the chocolate filling. Spread dough into a 13X9X2 in pan. On top of dough spread the filling over and sprinkle some candies over the chocolate.
Black Forest Cupcakes
Hey there guys! I made Black Forest Cupcakes for my friend for her birthday. These cupcakes are based off the Black Forest Cakes that people make that have cherry filling and a chocoalte cake that also has whipped cream instead of frosting. These were a lot of fun to make as I had to actually cut open the cupcakes in order to put the cherry filling inside.
As you can see you can take a sharp knife and cut a circle in the top of the cupcake at an angle all the way around. Take off the top and then fill, cut the bottom piece of cake off the part you removed; this is so that you can plug it back up.
She was so happy with them! I actually think they look pretty cute. Since I did not have the cocoa powder or brown sugar needed to make the chocolate cupcakes from scratch, you can make box mix taste even more awesome with these simple tips, as learn from the book Hello, Cupcake!
-replace the amount of water on the box with 1 cup of buttermilk.
-use the same amount of oil as on the box.
- replace the number of eggs with 4 eggs.
Bake as you normally would and when you try them you will defiantely taste the difference!
Pancake Muffins!
Hey everbody! I got a recipe from http://www.bakerella.com/ for mini pacake muffins! Of course though I have no mini muffin pans so I figured to make them into the bigger muffins.
Although I totally forgot to double the amount since they are supposed to be mini, so my muffins of regular size weren't that big nor did I get a lot of them.
Also, do NOT use the paper! I didn't think about it but the muffins are a bit too sticky to put the paper on and when you take the paper off you just end up messing up the whole bottom of the muffin. They still taste delicious, but just a word of caution :) From the website, the recipe is as follows:
Mini Maple Chocolate Chip Pancake Muffins
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2/3 cup buttermilk
1 egg
2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
2 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and sugar in a medium bowl. Sift together with a wire whisk.
In another bowl, stir buttermilk, egg, maple syrup and melted butter until just combined.
Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir with a spoon until combined.
Stir in chocolate chips. Reserve a few chips to sprinkle on the tops.
Bake for 8-9 minutes.
Makes 24 mini pancake muffins.
Flour in THEE house!!!
Sooo Yum Yum's here! HELLO WORLD! Okay now to the topic at hand,cookies! Yes cookies. I don't know what woman doesn't have a craving for chocolate sometime every month. Well I don't really like to eat chocolate like water,but I was wanting some chocolate overload this time. Hmmm okay sounds fair enough....walk over to cupboard....OH! theres a problem....NO FLOUR!!! WHAT?! how can there be no flour :( Well I told my mom to get some asap,Because I wanted to make some chocolate cookies!
Well as you can see cookie dough was started,meaning pshh my mom only needed to hear once that I was making Chocolate Cookies. So here is just the wet stuff before the flour and whatnot.
As you lovely bakers can see I have a hand electric mixer. If you have one do not be shy,it works a lot when making yummy's. Well to a certain point anyway ,with cookie dough.
Mmmmmm looks good don't it? Yes it looks super good already...well wait till they are baked! Yes you guys can see now its double chocolate cookies. Best thing on earth let me just say. I looked up multiple recipes for these cookies and found the best one,but the website is down right now so I will put the recipe in .I did look at all reviews though and changed somethings to it. Like the sugar. Recipe calls for 1-1/2 cups of white sugar. Well I did 1 cup white and 1/2 cup of light brown sugar(lightly packed).
WOOO they are done!Well here a closer pic (kind of blurry,sorry my camera kind of sucks )......
Yes,Mmmm looks too good! Well let me just say I think the site needs to change the name of them cookies. They were more like brownies! OMG very good and like an explosion of chocolate in every bite! Quote from my mom "I don't want them,but at the same time I cant stop myself from picking up another one..." If thats not enough for you guys make them and go to heaven .
Recipe:
1 cup butter,soften'd
1 cup white sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar(lightly packed)
2 eggs
2 tsp vanilla
2/3 Cocoa powder
2 cups flour
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
*Preheat oven to 350
*In large bowl, beat butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy.
*Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt; stir into the butter mixture until well blended.
*Mix in the chocolate chips.
*Using a table spoon scoop cookie dough and roll into ball with hands and place on a cookies sheet lined with parchment paper.
*Bake for 8-10 minutes (now you must watch it after this time, I took mine out after 8 minutes and it still wans't done,it took up to 15 for mine to be just right)
let cook and enjoy :)
Nommie's Mother's Day!
So this is what I made for my mom.
Banana Chocolate Cupcakes with Peanut Butter frosting! The Peanut Butter Frosting was left over from my boyfriend's cake which I had made the day before. The Cupcake part is from Hello Cupcake! I decided to test out their recieps in the back and try to make box mix delicious and boy was this recipe GREAT! I am sooo serious it was sooo good. I had to go out and buy buttermilk but I'm sure that that helped make them deeeelicious!
The recipe from Hello Cupcake to make your box mix yummy goes as follows:
Banana Chocolate Cupcakes
1 box devil's food cake mix
1 cup mashed bananas (about 3 medium)
1 cup buttermilk (in place of the water called for on the box)
vegetable oil (the amount on the box)
4 large eggs (in place of the number called for on the box)
and then you just mix it like you normally would! :)
Mothers day baking :)
Okay so for once Yum Yum's will be posting WOOO. :) Anywhooo, so yesterday was mother's day. Nommie and I have been baking for friends or parties,or just to try stuff out. Well my mother has been...hmm how would I say COMPLAINING? yes thats the word- about how I haven't made her anything blah blah blah. So hey its mothers day why not?! so here we go :)
So right here is the beginning of something I would have to say was YUM. I pretty much was looking for some white chocolate raspberry cookies or something to that affect and found NOTHING! so hey why not make it your self Yum Yum's?! sooo I did :) as you can see (well yea duh they can theres a picture) its NOT gross looking its just butter ,sugar and vanilla right there.
Now right above ^ is the close-to-finish of the dough part. Now I was pretty much making up as I went with these cookies. I followed a basic vanilla cookie recipe. (no I don't have the site because I grab and take from several sorces and tweak it)
Ahh finished....well not quite. well I know you can see the pieces all up in the dough and wondering hmm is that chocolate chips?
well let me answer that burning question:no it isn't. Like I mentioned before i was trying to go for the white chocolate raspberry cookies. Well for some reason Hershey decided that they wanted to discontinue their "raspberry chips" (basically is a chocolate chip but instead its made of raspberry) so I was looking online for something I could use or get my hands on in a day for these cookies. while looking I happened to come across a forum asking the same question and someone said to try to use the Hershey's bliss in the raspberry meltaway one. So I bought a bag and took maybe 10-15 and cut them up into little cubes and threw them in the mix.
So as you can see they are in my oven :) well they were very hard to manage. very sticky so next time I will be using a ice cream scope with the ...metal thing to make it come out easier. But they spread out a lot while they were cooking. so space is the answer here kiddies.
Mmmmm looks good. Well as you can plainly see they came out looking real good. They smelled like vanilla goodness. My mom loved them she wanted more. I melted some white chocolate chips and drizzled a small amount on the cookies before i put them in the oven. If you love chewy cookies, vanilla,raspberry and chocolate than this is a must try :)
Recipe:
1-1/2 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 baking powder
1/2 cup unsalted butter,room temp(1 stick)
1-1/4 sugar
1-1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
2 large eggs
10-15 Hershey's bliss raspberry meltaways (cubed)
1/2 cup white chocolate chips (for melting)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375
In a medium bowl place the flour ,salt and baking powder and wisk till blended.
In another bowl cream the butter will smooth, than add the sugar and vanilla extract, beat till well combined.
Next add eggs to the butter mixture and beat.After add the flour mix and blend well.
Add the bliss chocolates and fold in.
Now make into little ball and place on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper,add a drizzle of white chocolate before putting in the oven.
Bake for 10-14 minutes ,after cool on a wired rack. and enjoy :)
